sync speed stable but speeds have dropped

Hi, I migrated to Plusnet from BT on the 4th of June. Initially I had a sync speed of 40000 kbps, and I was getting around 36mbps speed as recorded by Speedtest. Since then the connection has reset at 39950 kbps, but my download speed has dropped to between 19 and 27mbps. That’s less than I was getting with BT. Any ideas why the sync speed and actual speed should be so different? Thanks.

Re: sync speed stable but speeds have dropped

Hi @MartinConnolly,

Sorry for any inconvenience this is causing. Together with our network partners at Openreach we are prioritising customers who don’t have a phone line or broadband connection, meaning there might be a delay in Speed Faults being fixed. In the meantime, please raise your speed fault online at faults.plus.net.

Re: sync speed stable but speeds have dropped

Hi @TheMightyAJ
It seems to have stabilised back at 35-36mbps again now. But thanks for the link, I can use that in future if needed.
