replacing plusnet TG582N with netgear R6300

i want to replace the supplied  technicolour  router with the netgear.
this will involve plugging the netgear WAN port into  the supplied  LAN port.
i would like to know the settings to  punch into the  netgear    first  rather than trial and error!

many thanks

Good evening,
The DSL username would be your Plunset username you first signed up with.
username@plusdsl.net
Your password is the one you also use when you first signed up.

i think the user name would depend on the network  you signed up with....  in my  case  F9
also  should the WAN not be set  to PPOE?
i suspect a little more involved than just  log in   info  since you are connecting to the BT openreach FTTC modem

Yup that's correct.
It'll be username@f9.co.uk in your case and the WAN type needs to be PPPoE
There shouldn't be too much else you need to do.
