reduced fibre speed

Has anyone experienced sudden drop in fibre service to less than half speed in the last 24 hours?

There's no issues we're aware of.

Yes still running half normal speed when I checked at 8.30am
Can the telephone exchange be checked?

If you try a reboot of the router the speeds should go up.

Tried rebooting the router made no difference. How change the exchange be checked out?

There isn't any issues with the exchange I can see so I'd recommend raising a fault here

Hi Paul, yes mine dropped by more than half yesterday evening and it's still running slow, been fine for a few weeks. I dont understand why this happens.. very erratic.

yes Matthew I have. This happens quite a lot. It's never been a stable connection, when I first changed to Fibre last 15 months ago it was great at first. I was told by the Engineer the speeds were capable of reaching 80 megs.. Was told I should expect 38 meg. Can you check my profile and ensure I am getting my correct speeds please?

@patti You're on the old 40/20 package so if you wanted more speed you could upgrade to the Fibre Extra package.

The connection looks fine from what I can see.

I checked both wireless and wired

its now back to normal 11mb

No, the pro add-on and Fibre Extra are completely separate.

 

Fibre extra allows speeds up to 76Mbps.

Line seems to have settled back on 10 mb

Extra would be of no benefit because service is not available as I am 3km away from exchange
