"The system detected an IP address conflict" error

Hi All,
Apologies if this is the wrong forum. I am posting as I regularly get the following message on various devices on my home network:
"The system detected an address conflict for IP address 0.0.0.0 with the system having network hardware address 00-00-00-00-00-00. Network operations on this system may be disrupted as a result."
An online search of similar reports hint that this may be related to the configuration on my router (Technicolor TG582n) - if any one has any advice that would be much appreciated.

Try: in the routers network setting, tick "always use the same IP address" for each device on your network.
Avoid configuring a static IP address in connected devices if possible.
