poor download speed

hi, I'm currently experiencing poor download rates on fibre at London W13.

ran several speed tests and result is always similar.

Ping is OK at about 8ms

download varies between poor 1mbps and 4mbps

upload is OK at 18mbps

 

anything going on in W13?

rebooted router again and working fine now

i have this happening every few weeks also... sync is fine but throughput goes awry and have to reboot router

 

are you connected to an ECI cabinet?

Im suspicious that the Hub-One on an ECI Dslam has issues, Ive seen many others in similar situations and it usually turns out they are using the provided Hub and on an ECI Dslam

Our tests aren't showing any obvious cause.

Was this over a wired or wireless connection?

it happens over LAN, its not WiFi interference even though I use 5Ghz wifi there are no co-channel sharing as per inSSIDer, last time it happened I plugged it into LAN and it was still showing erratic throughput,  its about every 2 weeks or so I have to reboot the router to get it working fully again, last time was 7 days ago
