pokerstars.uk not working

While I'm connected to plus.net, pokerstars.uk will not load. Its 100% plus.net, as when I go onto cellular, or use PIA VPN, it works fine.

Is it being blocked? 🤔

I can connect to it on my PN connection.

As above. No safeguard.
I can resolve DNS name and it pings on ICMP fine. Just in a browser it's continually loading.

Fire up the VPN and it's fine.

When I read this I thought there might be a problem with the Geolocation services incorrectly marking you as attempting to connect from another country, both the IP's you've used recently correctly show as originating from the UK.

We've sent an email to the site asking them 

Is there any restriction to services on your side that may be affecting our customer base on 51.6.0.0/15 IP subnet?  I understand there may often be restrictions for IP addresses geo-located outside of the UK but this is a UK range.

We will keep you up to date with any responses.

I can't access pokerstars.uk website from my plusnet account. I've tried on three different devices using multiple browsers, been an ongoing problem for months.

I can however load the website using a proxy.

Our broadband IP address is 146.66.xx.xx if this is of any help.

Do you get a specific error or does the page just not load at all?

It just times out, takes ages to think about it then I get the standard timed out page:

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

A google search seems to suggest this is a common problem for plusnet customers with pokerstars. I've not had problems with any other sites that I noticed.

We're really struggling to replicate this internally every connection we've tried has given us access and we have yet to hear back from Pokerstars, as a last ditched effort we've given you a static IP but you'll need to power down your router for 5 minutes for this to take effect.

Please let us know how you get on with this.

I've restarted the router and now have the IP 80.229.xxx.xxx

However I'm still unable to load the pokerstars.uk website unless I use a proxy.

You could try a factory reset of the router if you haven't already.

This is really strange as we're able to get there fine with IP's from all of our ranges and so cannot replicate the issue.

I also have this problem since upgrading to fibre, has it been resolved yet?
