open ports for cctv

hi can anyone help i need to open port 81  to view my cctv at home on my i phone5 when away from home  ,i have tried going to the router settings ,tool box and putting in port 81 to 81 act but can't get it to work.

For some one to offer specific help, they will need to know the make and model of the router you are using.
