new to Fibre( and plusnet) - poor speeds??

Hi all. I am a 'fibre' novice having switched to Plusnet from a previous provider using very sluggish standard broadband. I dont know if i expected too much, but the speeds in the first 7 days have been very poor, certainly at least half of what was advised. I know everything says allow 10 days to settle, but if it is consistantly poor surely it isnt going to settle?
any advice or suggestions please?

there is no 10 days settling on FIbre I don't know why people are still being told this.
Your line is fully open for the first two days that it has been installed ie it's allowed to go as fast as it's capable DLM watches the line, after the two days DLM steps in and based on what it has seen it will make changes if it deems it necessary to do so this could be adding interleaving, banding, or anything else to slow things down if it feels the line cant handle it.
as zZz has suggested it would be helpful to see the results of the BTW test and the further diagnostic this will state what your BTW profile is set to
your Plusnet profile would be another thing to see just in case it hasn't been set correctly it's meant to automatically adjust but it doesn't always happen you can get it from here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
also your estimate for the line would be helpful to see if your under or still with in the range. you can get that from here https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/
