Re: new gea test please

Yeah but not this time round all they did was change the cable they said there may have been a copper cable that was thinning which was causing problems either way whatever they have done it's improved it so as long as it's stable that's the main thing and with snr of 7.7 it shows its a lot better as there's room to play with without it dropping cheers

Re: new gea test please

Your Snr 7.7 is plenty of room - I used to have Snr 9.3dB with sync rate 79999kbps but suddenly my Snr now drop to 6.5dB and my sync rate now reduced to 78083kbps

Re: new gea test please

Bit confused really because on ADSL2+ if snr reduced the higher sync rate will be. For FTTC if snr were reduced, then the sync rate will reduced unless DLM put target SNR 3dB to get the line back to higher sync rate with G.INP on it. But sometimes lower snr can cause lots of problem on ADSL2+ and FTTC with lots of disconnection etc.

I am try to find out how to get my snr back to 9.3dB but I do think the factor to do with more customers connected at my cabinet probably fill up that caused my snr rate to drop slightly now. After 4 years of FTTC with max rate 80Meg is now fallen behind at 78Meg for now, hope it not going down to 60Meg Sad

Even worsen case my DSL CHecker used to show G.Fast as planned with a speed of 250/35 but it now disappear as an email from Openreach stated that my exchange are due for this month this year but now pushed back the date until end of next year because the exchange need upgraded to support g.fast.

Re: new gea test please

I always wanted a full fibre to the house because true full fibre are the future now. ADSL / ADSL2 / ADSL2+ / FTTC / G. FAST are not true fibre because it still run by copper lines and cable poles.
