I have the unlimited fiber package. I want to switch back to using my old Netgear D6200 router. When I try it says ADSL not attached. Any ideas on what can be done to connect ?

The Netgear D6200 is an ADSL2 router, so won't work directly with VDSL (Fibre). Unless you are connecting via a modem, then iits not going to work.

The Netgear D6400 does VDSL and is otherwise quite similar to the D6200. Maplins seem to have the cheapest deal on it at the moment (£110), though I did see it for £90 at Amazon a few weeks ago (but £117 there today).
Otherwise, it would be cheaper to buy an Openreach VDSL modem (widely available on eBay, I'm told) and just plug your D6200 into that (or into whichever modem/router you already have with your Unlimited Fibre package).
