my fibre is being wrongly capped at 21megs.

it was a lot higher about 3 weeks ago.

back then my telephone line was with bt, and fibre unlimited with plus.net. the bt contract was cancelled and i moved over the telephone to plusnet aswell.

but before i was getting 76 megs down, 18 megs upload. now i get 21 megs down max and 18 megs upload, sometimes upload is faster than my download. i had assumed it was the whole "takes ten days to find your optimal speed" but it seems this was a load of rubbish.

I want a refund for this period where i am paying for the top package, but getting a substandard service. More importantly sort it out or release me from the contract.

If you login to the Plusnet "Member Centre" using this link - https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
what does it say there for the "Current line speed:" ?

If that is around 21Mb, then you need to contact Plusnet via "Online Chat" and ask for your "Current line speed" to be updated to 74.8Mbps.
This value is calculated as follows -
  74.8Mb Plusnet Current_Line_Speed  =  ((77.43Mb BT_IP_profile * 96.79%) rounded down to nearest 0.1Mb) then - 0.1Mb)

I do see that line speed has dropped our side, I've popped up back to where it should be now, if you restart your router you should be good to go

my issue is resolved now, thank you :). the 20 kids in the house will now stop crying about buffering, thank you.

If you reboot your router or disconnect/reconnect your PPP session you should get faster speeds.
