line speed dropped to 21 Mb

Is there a particular reason why my line speed has dropped to ADSL values or is it just another bug in the PN system?

Diagnostic tests are indicating a fault which is likely to be causing this.

Don't worry about reporting a fault. Just try a disconnect/reconnect now and see what the speeds are like.

Current line speed bumped to 37Mb between 12:00 and 12:25

Dropped back to expected 33.8Mb at 18:30 on disconnect/reconnect as requested by Chris

I'm not sure what Adam was referring to, the problem was that the profile on our side was set incorrectly at 21Mb. I fixed this and you saw an increase in speed.

 

The estimated speed being absent from that page is going to cause zero issues.

Chris,Sorry for butting in on someone elses thread but my line has gone to 21Mb as well and should be 38,is it possible you could check to see if my profile at your end has been set incorretly please.

I'm also experiencing a similar drop from advised 76mb, only getting around 20.

Your's doesn't seem to be the same issue, the profile is set correctly. Can you run a BT Speedtest and do the further diagnostics after the first part completes please. http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/

Currently out but I'll do this asap, but various speedtests at random times have gone from ~50/25 originally to as low as 15/8 u/d with extreme variations in ping, anywhere from 10ms up to 300+

Is there any difference in the BT boxes (the 'modem' part as it were) as we have the same old one from when fibre was first available. It seemed to be fine at 40mb at my old home tho. It then links into a very high end Asus router so everything should be dandy in that sense.
