Re: line check please

As testing your line isn't finding any issues, I can't foresee what will happen in the future sadly.

If your sync speed drops below your estimates I'd raise a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net

Re: line check please

just to prove to u what i used to get

current stats

6. Data Rate: 20000 / 64229

7. Maximum Data Rate: 20826 / 79292

8. Noise Margin: 6.5 / 6.2

9. Line Attenuation: 17.0 / 14.1

just goes to show how shoddy bt equipment is and overhead wiring with trees all around it and an engineer requested for the trees to be chopped back as it was causing issues with the cabling coming from the post but never got done and that was over a year ago and its got worse there lol bt take our line rental and plusnet take our money for the service but dont care about providing any sort of support between the pair of them typical companies

Re: line check please

yes m8 saw that dont worry its obvious nothing will get done about any issues so will just have to lump it out of contract soon so will see whatelse is about as nothing gets done and as u say theres nothing wrong with the line but its dropped loads of speed but still u cant see anything wrong with it apart from speed issues so thanks for your time and effort

Re: line check please

I feel your frustration!  @iangilf

But until everyone is served by fibre to the premises we will have to endure this kind of variability of speed of connection that you and many more - including me , experience. Fortunately I'm not dependent on high speeds, and I live in the middle of nowhere so  just a decent,  solid connection is all I ask.

The reality is that since the BT phone network is 90 to 100 years old in places in the uk,  and is a system never designed to transmit digital content in the first place,  we will never be served with or even promised the best internet speeds while it uses usies  a crumbling phone network.

we should all Keep pushing for improvements as this is the only way that isp' s will respond and roll out FTTP to everyone. Minimum 150 mb/ s Should be the objective by 2025.

@iangilf Unfortunately we can't just reset DLM lines I'm afraid without certain criteria being met.

Re: line check please

I can assure you we're not restricting your line speeds.

Are you connecting over a wired or wireless connection?
