And is this capable of supporting the faster product (if I'm not on it) for download (I know my upload speed is never going to get any better). Or is there a problem with my Profile and it's got stuck:

What is the IP profile for the upload? If it's 10Mbps that is Unlimited Fibre, otherwise if it's 20Mbos that is Unlimited Fibre Extra

So that's Extra - even though my current account doesn't think I'm on that and doesn't offer me it as an option.. which implies my download profile of 32.4 Mbps might be stuck

Going back a few years there was a package called 'Unlimited Fibre' that had 80/20 speeds.

Plusnet's naming convention can lead to some confusion 😀

@SteveA I'm in the same boat as you and have put in a complaint.

I've been on Fibre Extra for 11 months and limited to under 40 down and under 10 up. 

Maybe my  "Plusnet Hub One needs a Firmware update on  software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.263 | as it was last updated 27/02/19!" which is 17 months ago.

Did you do a BT Wholesale advance test? This is mine wired to the hub and you can see the limits and the actual.

@Leapy you look as if you may benefit from the Unlimited Fibre Extra due to your estimate of up to 63Mbps, what do your router stats show?
@SteveA you've got very little to gain with your estimate being only up to 43Mbps.

@Browni I've been on Unlimited Fibre Extra for 11 months and 8up 39 down is as good as it  ever gets.  One day things will improve

@Browni - my worry is that if I'm on extra then dropping to regular may well take my speed down. I used to get downloads of about 44-45 but its been dropping over the past 10 months or so but PN aren't interested.

@Leapy Good luck sorting out your wiring.

@SteveA I don't think you would lose any speed going to the lower package even if the noise margin fell to it's standard 6dB which would probably get you close to 40Mbps

@Browni - maybe from not where I am now, but not from where I was last August. It does seem crazy that a loss of 25% in download speed is seen as perfectly acceptable.

@SteveA Clearly speed issues are taking a back seat in the pecking order actions, but to lose a quarter of what you had in a year is not good new  

@Browni I think I threw the PN Engineer, when I told him, I have no working test socket as it's not wired up... 😃 I wonder what the next step is?

@SteveA Crosstalk could do that in an instant but bear in mind DLM has set your noise margin to 10.5dB for some reason which will adversely affect your synch rate.

@Leapy when you get an Openreach engineer out they almost certainly fit a new master socket,
