is it worth upgrading to unlimited fibre extra?

Hi,
I am currently on a unlimited fibre package. This gives me speeds upto 40Mb download, which I get most of the time. When I look at my connection it says it has an attainable rate of 57Mb.
Is it worth upgrading to the extra package, and will I get that sort of speeds?
I have an Openreach modem (HG612, unlocked) and a TP-Link TD-W8980 router (see screen prints below). The uptime is very stable. A few days ago I changed by BT socket to a socket with build-in microfilter (NTE5c combined front plate), so I no longer need the separate microfilter.

Hi the stats show that your syncing at the max for a 40mb connection and the max attainable does suggest that your line is capable of more, the 57MB would be if everything was 100% perfect which no line is that said you could get close to it 55Mb or so.
Whether going to fibre extra is worth it is up to you, do you do stuff that the speed increase would be of benefit for if so and you don't mind the extra cost then go for it you can always request a downgrade if it doesn't turn out how you like.

Whether it's worth upgrading depends on your usage. Unless you have several users using the internet, especially for streaming, at the same time I doubt you would notice much difference on downloads . If you upload a lot to the cloud you might find there is also an increase in speed.
Some of the data reported by your router stats is confusing. Have you checked what BT think your line should be capable of by putting your telephone number in here: https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/?

You can't rely on the HG612 GUI stats, they are messed up. The reliable way is to access the modem using telnet and the xdsl info --stats command. Login using the modem IP address, username and password 'admin', then 'sh' to get to the busybox shell, then enter the command. The max attainable is not a good indication of possible speed, it can be grossly over estimated but you do have a good SNRM value so a reasonable speed increase should be possible. What does the BT speed checker give for your line?

I'll run the BT speed checker later on and will post the result here.
Broadband availability checker shows:
Output of the xdslcmd info --stats command:

So you might get a reasonable speed increase but the downside is that if it drops down into the 40/10 region nothing will be done as it will be within the dsl checker band. Personally I wouldn't bother but I guess it depends on how desperate you are for a bit of extra speed/throughput capacity.
