I'm afraid we can only provide a service up to the speeds your line can currently support, if your line has previously had a higher speed that doesn't mean that it can necessarily still have the same speed now. There can be a number of reasons for this from line degradation, through to crosstalk.

I was guaranteed a min of 40 - but then, ISP guarantees are worthless, ISPs are little more than scumbag side-street sellers with a fake Rolex

Any other supplier of services that had a drop of more than 20% but still charged the same ££ would have ombudsmen all over their rear-end.

Just went back to BT, at least they guarantee a minimum speed. Might cost a little more but you get what you pay for.

I doubt it will last - they'll do their best for a month or two then when you're stuck deep in the contract period they will ream your rear out.

I had 47 for 4 YEARS with BT... then they cripped me to 35 and called me a liar when i said about having 47 for 4 years.

So i move to PNet - back on 46/47 for 3 months or so... then cripped again to 38, now 34...

if i didn't need this to keep in touch with family then I'd go offline for good - ISps are scumbag filth!
