Re: ip profile dropping

Hello,

The speed decrease could be crosstalk and this isn't something that plusnet can fix.

Plusnet fibre extra is upto 76mb, so there's no specific acceptable range it all depends on line state

Re: ip profile dropping

Well it means you have a very good link, in fact it is nearly as good as my FTTP link (that is Fibre Optic cable to the house).

Your actual download speed is 74,745Kbps or 74.6Mbps

Your actual upload speed is  19,999Kbps or 19.99Mbps

Mine on FTTP is download 75.6Mbps, upload 19.98Mbps

So your upload speed is better than that of my dedicated fibre optic cable! And your download speed is only 1Mbps less.

Sorry to be brutal with this, but that is a very good link and in excess of what most people on FTTC can get. There is nothing wrong with this line. The estimates on ordering are just that, a calculation which may be correct and will be altered as the line is used as the new usage data helps to correct it. Yours was pretty accurate.

Re: ip profile dropping

@tonyt2764

I hope it stays that way for you too. Smiley

And there is nothing wrong with asking for help, sometimes text can be more abrupt than it is meant to be, honest gov.

It would be sensible to keep a watch on your line, I still do after 3 years on mine and it does help to understand if an issue arises when you know what the norm should be.

Anyway, enjoy the speed because after a while you'll forget what the old speeds were like and even this will feel slow Wink
