huge lag spike & packet loss , need restart hub 3 to 4 times a day

Hello

i was wondering what was going on with fibre, for the past week i have had to restart my router ( hub one )  3 to 4 times / day

to stabilize my connection ,it's fine for a few hours once restarted ,but then it start all over again ,page opening slowly , huge lag spikes ( from 26 to 600+ ping ) delayed action on the net or games ,then need to restart again.

is that general or is it related to the weather or my line/ router ?

any way this can be checked up on plusnet side?

thank you

Re: huge lag spike , need restart hub 3 to 4 times a day

It looks like some of the servers the traffic passes don't respond to ping traffic hence the 100% packet loss.

Our tests aren't showing any issues either.

Can you confirm if the issue happens over a wired or wireless connection?

I've run tests down your line too and can't find any issues either.

Do you notice the problems on more than one device?

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

this need checking before an official complain is made

after posting my issue on another post lag spike & packet loss and receiving one answer every 24h for 2 or 3 days then nothing for the past 3 days ,today was the worst  ( cf screenshot below )

massive packet loss

lag spike to around 3000ms where i normally don't go above 60-70

i need someone from plusnet to check this seriously and fix this , it's been more than a week ,having to restart the router 3/4 times a day , impossible to watch a decent stream on netflix or amazon , sometimes can take up to 30 seconds just to open google. this is not a decent service ,so fix it or i will put a complain and ask for a breach of contract

thank you

Restating router 4 times a day will drive your speed down; leave router on, so DLM can properly manage your line.

tried that, the problem with leaving the router on, it become unplayable ( 1000+ ping on world of tank where i normally have around 35 ), web page does not open or really slow, can't have a stream without buffering every 1.30 minute ,when i restart the connection is more stable for a few hours untill it start all over again

Re: this need checking before an official complain is made

Like @Gel stated. If you keep resetting the router the DLM will kick in as it will see all the disconnects as a fault and it will drop your line speed. Maybe this could be another hot vlan issue. Maybe a member of plusnet could check this out for you.

Still doing the same , so since i got no help whatsoever from plusnet , i started digging a little bit , i'm no expert into network and related things , i'm just a pc builder  with basic network knowledge but why does that ip( the one in grey not responding and causing packet loss ) is in beverly hills california ? why does my connection goes through there?

because you're tracing the route to a server that's in the USA.
