Re: http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ reporting wrong speeds, down by half

Hi Gus, sorry to hear you're having speed issues.
Checking the connection this side I can confirm we are currently getting 63Mbps download and 19Mbps upload to the router. However I can see that there are some errored seconds showing on the connection if when flaring up would explain the lower speed you got on the btwholesale speed test.
There's no hint this side as to what's causing the errored seconds so I'd recommend plugging into the test socket and then dropping us a message after so we can retest this side to see if the errored seconds persist. This will rule out a number of internal things that could be causing the errors and if the issue persists we would look at raising a fault.

How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here:
https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242

Let us know when you're in the set-up and we'll re-test this side or alternatively run a few of the btwholesale speed tests your side to see if the speed returns.  - Benj

no speed problems just that the BT tester is randomly reporting half speed

Hi,

This appears to be an issue with certain browsers, Firefox in particular, I get correct results using IE11 but incorrect with FF, see later thread with more details.
