fibre upgrade.

I've just upgraded to fibre. I got an email from PN to tell me my service was now active. I've done a speed test and there is absolutely no difference to my speed. Still getting 3.2 mps. I can't test it using a cable rather than the wireless as I use a chromebook and there is no cable connection. Any clues?

PS. I was told that it was ok to set my new router up before the service changed to fibre as it would automatically detect the changeover.

If today is your scheduled upgrade, it could take anytime up until midnight for the changeover to occur.

Yeh, but I've had an email this morning saying it's completed.

Unfortunately that is how they do things at Plusnet. It wouldn't be difficult to change the wording of the email, which is usually sent out in the early morning on the day the upgrade is due, but there doesn't seem to any incentive despite the frequent similar comments I've seen on this forum.

Came on this afternoon. Estimated speed was 34 - 38 mbs and I'm getting 50mbs. Happy bunny!
