hi, today we just got fibre installed.
the upload speed has increased but the download has stayed the same, we then get an email at 1 stating that they increased the upload speed as requested.................. we didst request anything just a decent download and upload???.
when you had the fibre installed did you see an increase in both straight away or did you have to wait a while.
we got in contact with plusnet and the rep told us to wait but didn't understand why our upload speed increased and our download is still as [Censored]

Hi, it's very likely that your PlusNet Line speed setting ( https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - you'll need to login ) hasn't caught up with the move from ADSL to Fibre and is still at the old ADSL value. If that's the case then contact PN again and tell them that your PlusNet line speed is not correct. If it shows the correct value for Fibre then it may be that you just need to disconnect and reconnect via the router GUI and that should pick up the new speed profile.
TBH I really would have expected the rep to have done better than that as the Line Speed issue is quite a common problem.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
