Hi all,
I have applied to upgrade my ADSL to fibre but I have just checked out that I am 1422m from the exchange. Looking at some sites that at 1500m I'll be getting 15mb.
how accurate are these sites saying that roughly 15mb will be my speed ?

For FTTC the distance to the exchange is irrelevant, it is the distance to the fibre cabinet that counts.
http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome is usually a fair indication of the speed you can expect.

Have a look at this chart ;

I will tell you how accurate it is when my line fault gets fixed !
