download 2mbps?

Hi there.
Connected my plusnet hub one today and have been receiving 2MBps download speed and the upload speed started at 1MBps but has slowly climbed to 16MBps throughout the day but download speed has remained the same.
strange thing is that in the hub manager it says downstream is 50MBps and upstream is 16MBps.
Any clue whats happening? Fibre is available in my area and openreach has sorted it all on my end, new phone socket, switching line over to fibre in my cabinet etc
Everything is connected properly on the router. Dunno why I'm getting the same download speed as my previous package.
