It depends.
Plusnet could give you a speed estimate.
On ADSL I got 8Mb/sec, on fibre I get 70Mb/sec
If you are a few hundred yards from the appropriate cabinet (not necessarily the nearest one) and the copper telephone wire doesn't go all round the houses before it gets to you, you ought to get a decent speed.
No guarantees.
Big difference if you do big downloads and aren't over-reliant on Wifi.

The Hub 5 will work fine. It may automatically reconfigure, if not the new settings will be found here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/
Changeover should take around an hour
If you put your phone number in here it will tell you the range of speed that you should get. https://my.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/adsl.htm?s_cid=ws_furls_adslchecker
Apart from possibly having to reset the router there is nothing else you need to do. If you take the ‘free’ Hub One, which under the hood is a Hub 5a in an ugly case then you just plug it in and it auto configures.
