hi guys a bit help is req
ive been with plusnet coming upto 18 months and no issues at all
ive been on the 80/20 package and use the net for the reg stuff
theres only myself in my house i have 3 devices online smart tv , lappy nd phone
so i called you guys lastnight and advised to change down to the 40/20 to save a cpl quid, and theres only me in the house i never go near 40 not mind 80
i give the go ahead to drop the speeds and there would be no hassle if i did want to go bk to 80
now this morning i ran a speedtest and its already showing almost 40/20 while before i was hitting 70/18
i have noticed some apps are now slower loading up also more so poker on fb, also skynews taking a cpl of reloads
is this going to be the norm or do i need to get my 80/20 bk
thanks for any help

I went through renewal the other day and had similar feedback in the other part of the forum.
I was offered the 40mb download package (I was on 76/20), but he didn't mention the new 2mb upload limit. When I asked, he did confirm that it was 100% NOT 20mb still.
Check your emails that confirm the package, it should be listed what you've agreed too.

If the package you've changed to is "Plusnet Unlimited Fibre" you will now be on 2Mbps upload.
Available to all ISPs are three FTTC variants: 80/20, 40/10 and 40/2. Plusnet do not offer the 40/10 option which would probably suit a lot of people. The old 40/20 account which Plusnet used to offer was based on the 80/20 option with the maximum speed capped to 40 and so cost Plusnet exactly the same as 80/20 - we never could understand the logic!
