Apologies if this is the wrong forum, I've recently got connected with fibre and while I know the line needs to settle, the speed is not even the minimum guaranteed speed. I'm trying to diagnose wiring issues first. It's a 60/70s house I just bought.
I assumed there was no extensions as I could see the British Telecom box in the attached photo with a wire going off to the master socket in the right of the picture.
Now I've had a proper look, it seems there's an extension running off this old connector. I have no idea what it is and want to remove it.
Am I right in thinking the two wires coming in at the left are from the exchange and A and B? And in order to use broadband and modern phones I just need to blue with white and white with blue connecting to these on a master socket?
OK turns out there's no WYSIWYSG options on the mobile version of this page. I'll try and get the image another way.
