Wifi dropping off but hub looks fine.

Hi there,

I'm having an issue where my hub cant be discovered on my devices even though looking at it nothing would appear wrong (Light is blue). It just seems to drop off and the only way to resolve it is to reset the hub. This happens at least once a day if not more and cant see any reason for it (e.g. not at the same time each day etc). I'm getting frustrated with it now !!

Re: Wifi dropping off but hub looks fine.

Hi @jamief1980, thanks for your post.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear of your recent connection issues.

On checking the line we aren't detecting any obvious issues and so we're going to need to begin with some troubleshooting so that we can start ruling things out.

I'd recommend starting with basic checks here.

And if that doesn't help the next thing would be to rule your internal wiring out by plugging the connection into your test socket which is under the faceplate of your master socket and seeing if the drops stop. This rules out internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause. How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here.

If the issue still persists after completing the above, please raise a fault here, letting us know via this thread when you've done so to enable us to get it over to our suppliers more quickly for you.

@jamief1980, when did you start experiencing problems? Your router firmware was updated last Wednesday and I'm wondering whether or not the problem coincides?
