Wifi connection dropping out

Up until about a fortnight ago my fibre wifi worked fine. Now we have to restart the router to get it to even connect, and whereas previously I could stream TV perfectly in the evening , now it constantly drops the signal. Our mobile signal defaults to 4g as its stronger than the wifi, meaning we're accidentally incurring data charges. Nothing at home has changed to affect this. I'm starting to wonder what I'm paying Plusnet for....
