Why was I removed from fastpath

Hello.

I have been having 5-7ms on the cabinet for like a year now by testing to local servers being on fastpath.

I noticed that you increased my latency to 11-13ms over the last week removing me from fastpath.

Why is that and if so please put me back on it.

Friendly regards

Re: Why was I removed from fastpath

Does your router stats say that you are now on interleave? it could be temporary routing issues?

To my knowledge, it's not Plusnet that do this it's the DLM at the cabinet. The algorithm may have moved you to interleave to provide stability to your line as it may have detected too many errors on your line or a fault was reported.

I'm a gamer too and my ping is over 52ms and I'm dead the minute I enter a game. I have been moved to interleave after I reported a fault which is still ongoing.

I'm hoping the DLM may put be back on fastpath but not holding my breath.

Plusnet will tell you that it shouldn't effect your online experience but we both know as gamers it does. Yes browsing YouTube will make no difference but you can't play online games with high ping rates.

You are better of calling tech support around 08.00 in morning when they are quiet and this way you won't be on hold for hours, ask them to test your line to see if any error show up and if so ask for it to be fixed. If there are no errors see if they are willing to ask OR to reset the DLM to put you back on fastpath but please note they (Plusnet and OR) don't arrange a DLM reset unless there is a fault.

Good luck and please do let us know how you get on.

Re: Why was I removed from fastpath

Bump please.

In the past I had people like Gundalf reply to line checks via forum.

Can I please get an actual reply from a plusnet employee?
