Who, or what is infonet

I had fibre installed last month, and out of interest have been doing speed tests, in the last few days the results are showing my provider as infonet services.. All tests prior to this shows it as plusnet, does anybody know what may have changed,and will it have any  impact on my service.

Take a look here
You may have issues with sites that don't allow access from non-UK IP ranges though I believe this is becoming less of an issues.  See this thread as well.
