What is considered an acceptable amount of connection drops?

So I had an issue with no dial tone and 5-6+ connection drops a day last week.

After an engineer came out and spent an hour tracking down the fault, the dial tone was back but I'm noticing around 1 connection drop at random times a day still.  I get a red light on my router, and it takes about a minute to reconnect.

Also I'm noticing that the connection seems more sluggish at times, in terms of clicking a link and it sometimes taking a few seconds to go there.  It seemed a lot faster before.

Is this the kind of thing that just takes a few days to go back to normal, is there some tweek plusnet could do to make it more stable or could it still be a fault?

Re: What is considered an acceptable amount of connection drops?

Generally I believe the tolerance is 3 drops in 24 hours or 6 drops in 72 hours but as far as I’m aware it’s more of a guideline. Sounds like you’ve still got a line fault.

Do you have an open fault ticket still? Raise one at faults.plus.net if you don’t though.
