What have Plusnet being doing to my connection

Note that sync to the exchange remained so these were PPP drops

Based on the time it's most likely BT maintenance in your area.

Re: What have Plusnet being doing to my connection

So why wasn't there a resync which is what usually happens when BT have been fiddling or is it different with fibre

Re: What have Plusnet being doing to my connection

It depends on where the work is being done.

With fibre you sync at the cabinet rather then the exchange so it's not uncommon for some types of maintenance to only cause a loss of PPP rather then sync.

Re: What have Plusnet being doing to my connection

@Oldjim

I had pretty much the same dropped packets indications on my TBB BQM at the same times as you (yesterday and today).  I'm on FTTP and I must have had at least one PPP drop during todays early morning packet-loss period as when I checked about an hour ago I was on a different gateway.  I've done some gateway hopping since I noticed so can't be more precise with the exact time of the beginning of the last session.

The 'red' period yesterday seems to coincide with the 'slowdown' experienced across most PN services, but AFAIK I didn't get any connection drops.

Edit: Typo
