What exactly happens during a fibre appointment?

Hi

I've just ordered fibre broadband and have been sent a text with an appointment day and time.

Does this mean an engineer will be coming to install something?

Will this involve any structural work?

Sorry if these seem like dumb questions but I live in rented accommodation and will need permission if anything is being altered in any way.

Many thanks

Re: What exactly happens during a fibre appointment?

If you have a working telephone line you would not normally need an appointment. This suggests that there is a problem with respect to your line so you need to either wait for a Plusnet staffer to come along or contact Plusnet by phone or live chat to find out why you need this appointment and what work is required.

Re: What exactly happens during a fibre appointment?

Fibre (FTTC) installations still have an 'appointment' I believe, although it's just for the engineer to do the work at the cabinet. No access or work at the property is required.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Fix

Hi there.

It's just a error on some of the wording.

The work is done externally at the cabinet so they don't need access to your property.
