Well well, what a 'surprise'... Plusnet fail again, what an absolute abomination

Router upgrade, with 'guaranteed' speed increase of more than double the pathetic and disgraceful excuse for service I've endured until now - the reality...?

A shiny new router and NO OTHER DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER.

Beyond a joke, and now we have the inexcusable and preposterous 1 hour wait for 'service' on the phone.

This company has, without a doubt, the most disgraceful and pathetic excuse for customer service in the Uk to date.

A sad, unfunny joke.

Same here. Though this time the router is lit up blue I've no fibre connection at all. Using my phone data right now. Had an engineer in 9 days ago and still waiting for a report back from that !! Just dire right now.

I've been waiting for broadband for nearly TWO months.

Had already two engineers from Openreach visiting and a second router received.

This company is a disgrace.

Here we go again...

Service dropping out, yet again, for no apparent reason, on a daily basis.

And likely an hour's wait on the phone to report it.

What an absolute joke.

You could just try using the broadband trouble shooter to report a fault https://www.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Here we go again...

It's started dropping on and off here again as well. They have visited 4 or 5 times now, I've tried a different router, then they moved me to another local server and stuff I didn't understand but it fixed it for a month or so now back to dropouts.

Just happy I only need to wait this out till March now.

Re: Here we go again...

if you have access to an old openreach modem ( freecycle? ) and are not using one now might be worth giving it a try...

Wow!

Only Daily?

Mine drops out HOURLY

It seems that PN won't admit that they have a problem Sad

As usual, it is ALWAYS the customer's fault

A big part of the problem (from research) appears to be with the Hub One and it's handshake with Huawei equipped cabs

But a big question is WHY THE HELL SHOULD IT BE ME, THE END USER AND A PAYING CUSTOMER, THAT HAS TO RESEARCH THE PROB IN THE FIRST PLACE?

 GRRRRR!

Re: Here we go again...

@Twoterriers yepi'm in sam situation, managed to borrow one. i've posted on freecycle/freegle in the hope of getting one. i've also heard that sometimes the openreach people carry old ones, so if you see one of the vans about might be worth an ask. mad this isn't it...

Re: Here we go again...

And maddening too. I am free of my contract come March so will be on my toes, anyway. It's too much money when it doesn't prove fit for the job.
