Hi,
I have had my fibre broadband running for a week now, and while the download speed I'm getting are as advertised the WiFi is absolutely appalling. The wifi signal continually drops even when I'm in the same room a few metres away from the router.
Wired connections seem ok, but iPhone, iPad and MacBook are continually experiencing drop outs(Apple compatibility issue?)
I can't even stream music stored on my devices over my network without connection dropping and endless buffering.
This is truly the worst wifi I have ever experienced, I have just moved from BT where the wifi was great I am starting to regret my decision moving to Plusnet.
If someone could provide info on how to remedy theses issues that would be great.
Thanks

@MarkyMark66 Welcome to the forum.
Try separating the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, see here: https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840. Try each band and use the best.
If you still have a Smarthub 6 then use that instead of the Plusnet Hub One, which is a rebadged Home Hub 5A with flaky firmware. Many of us use a Smarthub as they are far better. For setting instructions see here: https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Using-the-BT-Smarthub-6-on-a-Plusnet-Account/m-p/1587673#M85...

Thanks for the fast response and information provided, I have separated the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands I 'll see how that goes.
I do still have Smarthub 6 so If this doesn't fix then I'll give this a try 🙂
Much appreciated
