Can anyone suggest why I get such variable speeds over wifi with my Plusnet 2704N router.
Using a tablet, over the space of about 90 minutes I tested connection speeds a number of times.
I was in the same place, there were no other computer devices running at the time and the ping remained about 12ms.
However the download speed varied from about 30Mb/s (very close to what I get with the ethernet connected desktop PC) down to about 10Mb/s.
A wifi analyser app shows no other signals on the channel I'm using and a constantly changing signal strength.
