Very slow fibre connection

At the beginning of the year Openreach engineers could not obtain the download speed promised.

So I ended up accepting a lower speed of 20 Mbs but over the lockdown and up to date the speed has slowly fallen away further to such an extent that my Plusnet TV package fails occasionally

Below is a copy of up to date speeds from within my router admin.

Can anyone shed any light on the problem

Re: Very slow fibre connection

Is your router plugged into the master telephone socket? Try using the test socket: https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242

Check the downstream speed in your router after and if there’s no change to where you’d expect the speed, raise a fault at http://faults.plus.net

This will create a fault ticket and get you into the queue for Plusnet to investigate further. It’ll probably end up to another engineer.

Re: Very slow fibre connection

Just done a test

Direct from the test socket within the master socket, To my old Plusnet router with only the computer plugged in.

Everything else. WIFI etc. not connected. The results are the same. So it looks like opening a fault
