Very Slow and erratic download speed

Hello, can someone at Plusnet pick this up please.

Been happy with speeds (up/down) and ping since May, but last few days general browsing has felt slow.

Tests show downloads now at 50 not 74, and Thinkbroadband download test shows download almost stopping then springing back to life.. help !. Unable to stream sometimes, and games freeze. Thanks

Hi there,

I've just been looking into this and diagnostics don't highlight any problems.

 

Have you been able to test speeds over ethernet so we can be sure WiFi isn't an issue?

Hi thanks for response, not on wifi and yes, the diagnostics on router look very good, the connection is solid for 25 days plus and the router stats are great as below, however real life downloads are very patchy.

Oooooh thanks for that link, it seems I am not alone. Think I'll be heading back to BT when out of contract.

 

For me looking back through speedtests, when I was switched from an IP beginning 149 to an IP beginning 51, was when it went wrong.

 

Maybe I'll switch the router off overnight and see if I get a better part of the network in the morning Smiley

It's just a shame that the Plusnet Hub One blocks pings as it would be really useful to set up a ping graph to see if you are suffering from this issue. That is the classic sign as can be seen in that really long thread, over and over again.
