Very LOW speeds today

On pcl-bng01 I am only getting
On pcl-ag06
On ptn-bng01
This is on a line that is normally @68Mbs
It has been as low as 8Mb today, what is going on?
I switched back to the TG589 since I thought it was the TP link router that was giving me the low results but the above are with it.

Re: Very LOW speeds today

Might be related to the BGN thread as the "issues" are not fixed yet......
paulh - kelly- dave are keeping an eye on that thread.

Re: Very LOW speeds today

Can you try the TBB Speed Test?
I think speedtest.net are having issues - I am seeing weird results and upload just hangs on 'connecting'.

@Hairy McBiker
Just letting you know that we're working with the products guys today to dig into what might be causing the difference in speeds across the different BNGs.
I'll make sure we keep you posted.

Re: Very LOW speeds today

We're a bit past the date to know if there was an issue, unless you are still seeing it?
Like I've said on other threads, we aren't aware of anything that would be causing a disparity in speeds between the gateways.
Are you still seeing it?

Re: Very LOW speeds today

Seems OK at the moment, not been downloading a lot so haven't noticed it as much as the other day.

Re: Very LOW speeds today

@Hairy McBiker
If you do see discrepancies in speeds between the BNGs again mind trying trying an alternate speed tester such as http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ for us please? Just so we have a decent comparison.

Re: Very LOW speeds today

I would normally use the speedtest one as it is quick, if I think the downloads are sluggish, then a quick test and if they are a gateway change to see if it holds. The BT one is just too SLOOOOOOWWWWW for a quick test.
That and you cant test again if you change gateway.

Re: mmmmm ?

Hi rongtw,
We can't account for an exact reason for an isolated disconnection and there's no guarantee of which gateway you'd reconnect to.
You definitely shouldn't see any difference in performance whilst connected to different gateways. If you think you have please run some tests for us: http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
Tell us more if there's a wider concern you might have.

Re: mmmmm ?

Hi Adam , while  i agree to what you say , BNG,s are worse gateways for BF4 games  Sad  i get a higher latencey and always have bad rounds while on these gateways so i tend to shy away from them

Re: Very LOW speeds today

The thing is using one speed tester doesn't necessarily lend to the most detailed overview of the issue. If this is still a concern to you (as it also appears to be a concern to rongtw here: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,132629.0.html if would really help us out if you can use at least 2 or 3 different speed test platforms. I understand the BT one may be a slow to use but it's the most helpful for us.

That definitely shouldn't be the case. Mind taking a look at what I've advised Hairy McBiker here?

UPDATE: FYI I'm asking the mods to merge this thread with the one I've linked to. It's just for consistency and a unified approach.  There's a couple of things I need to bring to yours and Hairy McBiker's attention as you're both mentioning very similar issues
