Hi, I have just noticed that today my max rate has jumped from 78565 to 98148 and now syncing at the below stats;
Is this an indication of Vectoring? When G.inp became enabled it jumped from around 72 to 77 sync last year.
I am on the giffnock exchange in glasgow WSGIF and around 500m from the cabinet.
Max: Upstream rate = 35100 Kbps, Downstream rate = 98148 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 19999 Kbps, Downstream rate = 79999 Kbps
Bearer: 1, Upstream rate = 0 Kbps, Downstream rate = 0 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: VDSL2 Annex B
VDSL2 Profile: Profile 17a
TPS-TC: PTM Mode(0x0)
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up
SNR (dB): 5.0 18.0
Attn(dB): 15.6 0.0
Pwr(dBm): 13.4 6.6

Could just be that interleaving has been removed. My line used to flip between interleaving and not interleaving and the attainable rate would jump quite a lot without interleaving.

If there has been a power outage or the DSLAM has been power cycled for some reason, then you will tend to get high attainable rates due to other peoples modems not fully sync'ed yet or a neighbours modem has re-sync'ed or been turned off. If you do a manual re-sync you will probably find that your stats will return to what they were.

Looking at the downstream noise margin of 5dB I would suspect that the attainable rate is just wrong

Surely there must be something in the stats or the output of the xdslcmd with the correct parameters that reports if vectoring is actually in use or not.

Ahhh, excitement over, must have been a power outage at the cabinet, is it safe to assume the drop in max rate is mainly crosstalk? It is a huawei cabinet number 51 on WSGIF.
thanks for your replies folks.
