Hi Bob,

 

I had the problem again this morning. According to firewall logs on the VPN side (I forgot to check at the time) I connected from 31.185.213.

 

I'm now on 80.189.64 which is obviously quite different! Could there be a connection here then?

I have the same issue with VPN. Stopped working after being away for 4 weeks. I have sent PM to @bobpullen. with details.

We've made a change to try and resolve the VPN issue that people have been seeing and our testing is showing that the VPNs we have access to are all now working. If there's anyone that was still seeing issues with this can you let us know if it's working now or not please.

@dave I no longer seem to be getting full connection drops (NetExtender reporting connection has been lost and attempting to reconnect), however I am now seeing periods where my internet drops whilst connected to the VPN that happen every few minutes or so.

It mainly seems to be as I head into the evening each day (after 8/9pm), I'm not sure if this is still the same issue as like I said the VPN connection stays up, I just lose traffic through it.

Edit: Whilst trying to post this the connection dropped again, I disconnected and immediately my internet returned so this is definitely a VPN issue, but whether it is PlusNet or my work's VPN is unclear at the moment. IP at the moment is 87.113.86.*.

@dave: Scratch that, I've just had to reboot my router due to an unrelated drop and now I can't access my VPN again due to the original issue.

 

My IP is now 91.125.237.*

Edit: Problem was solved as usual by resetting my router and getting a new IP (80.189.2.*)

VPN has stopped working again.. External IP is 176.251.10...

Do you know why it keeps stopping to work?

That external IP does not belong to Plusnet. It's a Sky Broadband IP address:

Hi,

 

Sorry my laptop connected to my neighbours router while I was resetting my plusnet one because of the SonicWALL issue on plusnet. The same issue happened on both ISP's so I assume this was an issue with either my work VPN or laptop. Problem is resolved

Hi,

 

Sorry to drag up and old post, but the problem has reared its head again. Same symptoms as before, can connect but connection drops out within seconds (especially when trying to connect to RDP).

My IP address is now 146.90.28... but restarting the router doesn't seem to change this so my usual workaround is not working!
