I use a VPN connection for work to access several clients. This has work previously but has now stopped working.
I have tried to different clients that are on different providers from home and none of them work. I've tested from a different connection and can get a connection so it doesn't look like an issue with my laptop or software.
I used to be able to connect via the VPN on my home connection but it has recently stopped. Router has been rebooted but this hasn't fixed the issue.
Please help

Please post the detail of the type of VPN being used - SSL, IPSec, PPTP - give us something to work with.

Just out of interest, how long have you had this issue? I can see that you migrated over to our new network on the 20th, which could be the cause.

I went on holiday last week and found I could no longer connect to the work VPN when I got home. I wonder if it's a common issue. I can't use teamviewer either (which is what I have a backup to the VPN).
I only need it for out of hours support from time to time, but I don't fancy driving to the 24 hour McDonalds to fix an issue.
Took the laptop to a friends house and the VPN works ok there via their internet connection.
I can ping the public facing IP that the VPN at the other end has associated with it.

There is a known problem with some Vpn routing when on the new network https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/VPN-fine-for-9-months-stopped-working-Jan/m-p/1301062/highli...
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hoping you can help as I'm having the same issue. I have previously been able to connect to sonic wall global VPN but haven't been able to for the last few weeks. The IT department at work have confirmed there isn't an issue with my laptop or the VPN.
Thanks

Can you please drop me a private message containing the following information?
- Who owns the VPN you're trying to connect to
- What's the IP address/hostname of the VPN you're trying to connect to?
- What version of SonicWALL are you using?
- IP address are you currently assigned
- A traceroute to the VPN server
This is the third SonicWALL issue I've come across now

Hi all,
Just adding my two cents to say I'm having the same intermittent issue with a Dell SonicWall VPN and PlusNet.
It stopped working in April and then I managed to resolve the issue by restarting my router.
This time the problem was solved by restarting my router twice (for some reason).
I tried another PC on the network (wifi and wired) with no luck, and then managed to get in over mobile data on the same PC confirming it's something between my router and plusnet I would say.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,

I have same issue today.
Message is "the peer is not responding to phase 1 isakmp"
Works from phone hotspot so must be router/plusnet.
Anyone resolved this?
