VPN and IP Voice issue

I have recently switched to plusnet fibre from std sky broadband. On a whole the service is fab but I work from home 1 week a month. Every day I randomly get disconnected from my work vpn about 3 or 4 times, I also use Cisco jabber and my outbound voice quality is terrible, so much packet loss.

I've had my employers check my profile and they say all is ok, plusnet have also said this is nothing to do with them.

I had no issues with voice or vpn connections whilst with sky.

I've read that the plusnet router is not great and I should try a different one but I'm not a technical person at all.

Any suggestions or advise would be great

Cheers

Re: VPN and IP Voice issue

Assuming you have a hub one it if fine for vpn and voip calls, there is a setting in the hub to increase vpn reliability I think although not at home at the moment to check.

Quite a few people are getting packetloss so that is more likely to be causing the dropouts. Seems best if you don't have a static ip too.

Thanks for your reply

I do have a Hub one, I'll be logged on at home tomorrow so I'll have a look and check the settings
