VDSL vecroting trials

Hi all,
Is anyone on here connected to a cabinet that is trialing vectoring?
Is it the holy grail that all users with poor speeds and dropouts are seeking?
Any idea if it's been successful and an indication to national rollout?

Re: VDSL vecroting trials

BT appeared to back away from a national roll-out of vectoring earlier this year. It seems that vectoring may be used in some BDUK areas to extend the reach of cabinets but that's all. BT seem to have decided to concentrate on G.FAST as the next big thing which makes sense.

But I don't think BT have committed themselves either way. As usual they are keeping everyone in the dark (or just don't know yet themselves).

This also seems to confirm that - http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2015/06/bt-begins-uk-rollout-of-vectoring-to-fix-fttc-fibre-bro...
TBH I don't care what technology they deploy so long as it works. With FTTC I'm no further forward than I was with ADSL2+ 😞

Re: VDSL vecroting trials

the vectoring helps when many people on the same cabinet are busy, but how many cabinets are there like that when uptake of FTTC is thought to be in the 20 to 30% range?
