VDSL keeps dropping connection

Since February 2020 we had a flood at our local exchange box

I am With BT for phone they have told me the line is fine I am with plusnet for Broadband..

Since the flood I have had problems with the broadband

BT suggested it was my router. I bought a router from plusnet so that i could use there supported equipment

on average the connection will drop around 5-6 times a day

my speeds are not what they used to be

I used to get around 54-70 down

17.6 up

this is now see below with the BT  performance test.

I need to know what I can do now please.

Plusnet Hub One
5. DSL uptime: 0 days, 01:32:05
6. Data rate: 4746 / 33478
7. Maximum data rate: 18375 / 43055
8. Noise margin: 16.2 / 9.1
9. Line attenuation: 14.6 / 13.9
10. Signal attenuation: 15.2 / 12.2
11. Data sent/received: 1.6 GB / 30.6 GB

Re: VDSL keeps dropping connection

Hi @TheoldRave,

Together with our network partners at Openreach we are prioritising customers who don’t have a phone line or broadband connection, meaning there might be a delay in Speed Faults being fixed. In the meantime, if you feel there is a Speed Fault please raise this online at faults.plus.net.

If your router lights are indicating a loss of connection, please let us know.

Thanks - Tahir

Re: VDSL keeps dropping connection

Fix

Thank you we had an engineer over the weekend and replaced our main socket.

Connection is a lot more stable which is what i need speed is slower than I should get but a stable connection is better than an unstable and unreliable.

can you please close this thread many thanks

Dave
