Upload speed increase from last year

Hi,

I have seen no upload speed increase since the promised upgrade to the "up to 10"  mbs last year. I have been receiving around 2 continuously . I wonder if one of the Plusnet team would look at my account to see if this change was ever actioned? Perhaps my distance from the cabinet might have a bearing on the matter, although I am getting around 22 downwards so perhaps there is a problem somewhere else.

What does the DSL Checker say your line is capable of?

Do you have a Hub One? If so, what are the sync speed, and max achievable speeds on the Helpdesk tab?

Hi Mustrum,

I have checked the DSL Checker. It says 5.1 - 3.2  upsteam. my Hub 1 reports 

2681 / 23471 for the data rate and 2712 / 27420 as the maximum data rate.

Thanks for looking into this. Am I to assume that I am on the 30/10 service?

Yes, you do appear to be on the 40/10 service, it's just that your line is not capable of getting the full speeds. That said, your upload speed is still quite low, if you can try again by testing in the hidden test socket by removing the lower cover on your master socket, you may see an improvement. If you do, then it could be your internal wiring that is at fault.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will try it when I have some time. Perhaps a staff member from plusnet could confirm that I definitely have been upgraded?

I am sure they will if they see your post, however just in case, and to help reassure you, if you were still on the 40/2 product, your upload speed would show, 1,999. 

I am lucky enough to be very close to my cabinet, and on the 40/10 product, as you will see sync speeds are limited to that, even though I could get much higher:

Max:    Upstream rate = 27154 Kbps, Downstream rate = 99280 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 9995 Kbps, Downstream rate = 39970 Kbps

@steves10 Sorry to hear you're having issues.

I've checked and you are on the right product so if you're having poor speeds I'd recommend raising a fault here
