Hi folks..
As per title,, My upload speed has what seems like to be capped at 1.3mb, I cannot get any higher than that no matter what pc I use or what i do with the modem or my network. - and before someone blabs are you on wireless - even if i was id still get faster than that on 54G & wireless N
Modem stats show i should be on a 40/20 connection, with a line upload speed of 6mb+ So my modems gettings the right stats..
My External ip shows as a Bt internal of 194 .xxx.xxx.xx ????
Why is my download speed the same yet my upload has been greatly reduced..
If ive been capped and put on the new 2mb upload limit then i want to know why and on what grounds, without being informed or had a reduced package cost.

Edit - I now have a PN ip address.

If you'd been put on 40/2 service then the up sync would be 1999kb/s or similar, pretty sure that Plunset cannot 'cap' upload via their profiling system so the problem is something else, unfortunately I have no idea what might limit upload speeds so far below sync.

Hi there,
Your line is in sync at the following speeds:
Downstream Speed 36.1 Mbps
Upstream Speed 7.2 Mbps
So there's no restriction or cap on the upload showing.
Can you run through a BT Speedtest using an ethernet cable and if the speed is still low please report this at https://faults.plus.net

Hi chris
The whole house is wired, so all pcs are getting the same speed, the only thing that touchs the wireless is our mobiles / laptops.
Ive even taken a laptop directly off the router still get a slow speed. Ive tried 2 different routers, and still both report 1.3mb upload.
I cant get a bt further diagnostic speedtest as it constantly returns Http 500 server error. however the primary test comes in as the same speed as my speedtest result on my first post, but with a much higher ping.
ill just report a fault and hope for the best.
