Upload speed cut AGAIN

So it appears that once again my upload speed has be cut from 5-6mb/s to under 2mb/s

[IMG]http://www.speedtest.net/result/5511365602.png[/I...]

This is ridiculous. I know you are dropping it for new customers but I am half way through my contract.

Please give me my full upload speed back plus net

The last saved speedtest results showing I my better upload

IP Profile for your line is - 25.84 Mbps

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

What does BTW ADSL Checker state that your line supports?

These are the results

Also, I have just found a message on my plusnet account saying

"A LLU PSTN cease has been placed on this account. This is due to complete on 28/07/2016 23:59:59."

This is for cancelling or moving service right? Neither of which I have done..

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

It does read like it yes. Given the new Ofcom system is "gaining provider" lead instead of the old system where you had to request a MAC code before your line could be transferred.

Are you perhaps moving your line rental to another provider but not the broadband?

No I have not changed anything. Think I'm going to have to give them a ring

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

So after talking to Plusnet technical support,

The "A LLU PSTN cease has been placed on this account" apparently means that I have been migrated to plus nets "new" network.

Apparently the reason my upload speed has dropped is that I have been migrated to the 40/2 package.

So basically without be told, AGAIN, I have had my upload speed dropped to less than half of what I was getting.

And it's not like I can upgrade to the 80/20 package as my line does not support it so even if I wanted to I couldn't. Once again really unhappy with plusnet.

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

Sorry to hear your upload speed has been dropped to 2Mbps while moving your connection to the new network.

Would you mind dropping me a PM with your username and I'll look in to that for you.

Thanks.

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

Thanks for providing me with your username.

I've had a look over your account and it appears you changed from the Plusnet Unlimited Fibre (80/20) package to Unlimited Fibre (40/2) in August last year. I'm sorry to say that we stopped providing 40/20 in June last year, therefore I'm afraid that it is correct that your connection should be 40/2.

I also understand you have raised a fault regarding this matter, however this would not be classed as a fault as we a providing the appropriate service for the package you are on.

Re: Upload speed cut AGAIN

This is unacceptable of plus net.

Before being moved to your "new" services I was happily on a package that gave me the upload speed I needed. I have been a plus net customer for years and as you rightly pointed out, changed packages last year when you called me up asking if I wanted a cheaper package. At the time nobody stated whatsoever that renewing would cut my upload speed and it did. As you can see from my previous forum threads I had this resolved and it was only supposed to apply to "new customers"

https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/Massive-upload-speed-drop/m-p/1268700#M27126

Now I am half way though a contract with you and you change the service without any warning or notification and I am once again left with a [-Censored-] service.

Please have a look back through my previous support tickets and the complaint that I made last time this happened.

The package was not just for new customers, 40/2 should apply to anyone who newly signed up to the package after we stopped selling 40/20 in June 2015.

As you have previously been advised incorrectly that your service would remain on 40/20. I'll make sure it's uncapped for you.

As the top end estimates for your line are 40Mbps down and 7.5Mbps up, I've put through an order to provision the service at 40/10. The order should complete on Monday.

I hope this helps.
