Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

So my Hub was up for around 19 days without an issue, then I noticed it rebooted in the middle of the night and my upload has gone from 19Mbs to 13Mbs. Reboot / Factory Reset / Changing modem/router didn't work.

Re: Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

Do you happen to have any old stats (from a different device) which show the cabinet firmware version, so that you could compare it to now?

Re: Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

Yes, anything that has full telnet to do xdslcmd info --vendor (or whatever the xdsl/adsl/xdslcmd/xdslctl command is).

The middle of the night is probably when the cabinet firmware would get updated.

Re: Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

Thank you for your PM and for your patience @geekofbroadband

I've tested your line,

Sync Status In Sync
Downstream Speed 64.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed 15.1 Mbps

Both your sync speeds are below the estimates,

FTTC

Product status: Enabled
Product RAG: Green
Reason code: G - FTTC is already enabled on this line
CAB #: 4
Speed (Clean) : 80000 - 67400
Upstream: 20000 - 20000

Speed (Impacted) : 78100 - 49000
Upstream: 20000 - 16800

I'd advise to next try connecting the router into the test socket, if you haven't already. Explained here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242

If this doesn't help then raise a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net as it's likely going to require an engineer.

Re: Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

Tried the test socket, speed became worse so Im going to make a ticket. Will the engineer come to the house or does he just go to the cabinet? Thanks

Re: Upload speed Dramatically Dropped!

It depends on what the test results show, we can't really say with any guarantee in advance.
