Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

Have just had fibre 38 installed 5 days ago. Download speed as per agreement of between 36-38 mbs BUT upload only 0.83-0.89 when agreement states 2mbs. Will this
improve nearer to the 2mbs? Or do I need to log a fault?

Re: Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

The speeds PN and any ISP quote are "up to" sync speeds. Where are you looking/testing?

Post a copy of the Helpdesk page from your router, making sure you hid any personal information including username and password.

Checks done with broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk approx. 10 tests done over 2 days.Download speed consistently close to the 38mbs/sec the upload speed is consistent but below 0.9 mbs

Re: Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

As @Mustrum said - if you can post the Helpdesk page from your router (minus any account details ) it would help work out if you've got a reduced upload connection or just transfer issues.

Re: Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

I can't get access to my router at the moment (it is installed in a rental property) so I will have to leave this action until I can get access to router at a later date.

Thank you for assistance offered

Re: Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

Our tests aren't showing any issues.

Were these tests done over a wired or wireless connection?

Re: Upload speed (38mbs fibre)

Thank you-speed checked wireless as I only use iPhone and iPad. I understand wired connection would improve but do not understand why I am getting 95-100% of downloads 'up to speed ' but less than 50% 'up to speed' for uploads. ?
